Hotels in Blackpool are also a good option for a spot of lunch, and roast dinners can be particularly inexpensive, although the choice is often limited. Pubs and bars are also a good place to find some cheap eats and you certainly needn't worry about going hungry or finding somewhere to eat, because food is everywhere here.

Opening Hours

Most eateries along the coastline of Blackpool are open throughout the day, with some cafes serving full English breakfasts for just a small price, often available until 12:00 or later. Fish and chip shops usually open as early as 11:00 or 12:00 and stay open until the evening, while pubs tend to serve lunch between 12:00 to 14:00 and evening meals from 18:00 or 19:00 onwards.

Where to Eat

The best traditional English restaurants in Blackpool can be found along Dickson Road, Pleasure Beach, Queens Street and Topping Street, where you will truly be spoiled for choice. If you are simply looking for a quick snack, plenty of cafes stand along Clifton Street, Deansgate, Egerton Road and Red Bank Road, while for pasta and pizza, be sure to head for either Church Street, King Street, Ocean Boulevard or Victoria Street.

Those searching for a more oriental cuisine in Blackpool will be pleased to find a number of excellent Chinese and Thai restaurants at Birley Street, Foxhall Square and St. Anne's Road, while a couple of highly regarded Indian restaurants reside along both Chapel Street and Talbot Road.

Perhaps the ultimate place to eat in town is at the acclaimed Blackpool Toward ballroom, where a range of light snacks, sandwiches and afternoon tea is available. A family bar is also available on the Tower's level five, together with several eateries providing hot snacks and several popular dining options, together with a view.

The Houndshill Shopping Centre along Victoria Street is a major indoor mall and contains a large food court area on the top floor. Serving a good selection of reasonably priced food, including baguettes, sandwiches and burgers, there are also several cafes dotted around the complex.
